About Me
I am from Ireland, but now living in Columbia, SC. I grew up in a suburb of Dublin called Finglas. It is on the northside of the city and is a heavily populated, predominantly working class area. I graduated from University of London with a degree in Law. After graduation, I lived and worked in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for 3 years. Following that I spend almost 1 year in Canada before moving to the US. I have been in the US since 2004. I am currently a graduate student at Columbia International University, training to be a clinical counselor. I am now a counselor in training (intern) at the Christian Counseling Center of First Presbyterian Church, Columbia, SC and thoroughly enjoying it!

Hi, Cathy! Thanks for your kind comment on my blog. It really made my morning! I am also of Irish heritage (I love my red hair and freckles), although my ancestors lived there a LONG time ago. But I love all things Irish. My mother got me a Claddagh (sp?) bracelet for Christmas this year and I got her Celtic Knot earrings. Our dream is to travel to Ireland and hop on over to Scotland. Maybe that dream will come true some day. I have visited London before and LOVED it. Got to see Stonehenge, which was my dream.
Anyway, thanks for the encouragement and I’ll take your advice to heart. And now I have a new blog to read!
